What is the objective?
The purpose of the programme is to investigate the Buy/Make/Sell/Deliver process as a fundamental approach, and introduce the objectives and methodology of DRP and MRP. Additionally, the DDMRP process is introduced and explained as a buffer management tool that signals the replenishment activities of the organisation.
Key aspects in defining optimal logistics capacity balancing in the organisation, including detailed capacity planning, are discussed along with key aspects in optimising short-term supply and demand (from a planner’s perspective) that can influence the process. The programme presents ‘best-practices’ for the execution of the DDMRP processes, with case examples for planning and optimisation.

Meet the team
Andrew dos Santos is a Supply Chain Management industry expert, and the subject matter expert for this course. Andrew has led and managed projects ranging from ERP system implementations, supply chain planning implementations, multiple new product developments, business process improvements and training initiatives. He currently coaches and mentors supply chain planners for many of South Africa's top manufacturing organisations and holds a BSc(Hons) as well as a Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Pretoria. But wait, there's more! Andrew also holds multiple industry certificates such as APICS CPIM, APICS BSCM, SCOR-P and CDDP.
Victor dos Santos, one of our leading industry experts and the subject matter expert for this course, has had +35 years’ experience in the supply chain industry; with knowledge spanning finance through to manufacturing and business processes re-engineering. Equipped with an M.B.A, SCOR-P and an APICS CSCP, Victor is involved with and teaches subject matter from several industry associations namely; APICS, APICS SCC (Supply Chain Council), CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals); SAPICS and the Lean Enterprise Institute.
